Abstract

The present work aims to address the importance of the evolution of packaging for the packaging of horticultural products in the physical distribution, showing a brief historical context and the reason for its existence, analyzing the models, forms, functions and purpose with the tendency to facilitate day to day of society. From the analyzes, there are possible problems caused by inadequate packaging or non-use, generating waste during the handling of the products. Through a qualitative survey the advantages of a well-designed packaging, the tests to improve the confidence and to reduce the damages avoiding the existing risks during the movement, transport and storage are presented.
